Registration and first steps

Do I have to create a customer account to place orders at

In order to buy products in our online shop you do not need to register. You can purchase all products as guest and thus do not need to check in. Please note that the Following product categories are only available for business clients: Silk, Linen, Leather, Merchandise.



What are the benefits of a customer account?

  • Have an quick overview of the status of your orders
  • Fast payment options during your next purchases
  • Check the history of your past orders
  • Administrate your account settings and enter valid tax IDs for tax free shipping

  • Activate multiple shipping addresses


Do you also offer wholesale conditions?

If you have your fashion brand or run another business which is related to trading with textiles you can purchase Lebenskleidung products at wholesale conditions. For this you need to create a business account. Simply upload your proof of business (VAT-ID, Official business registration) when creating a customer account. First you will receive a regular login which will be switched to a business account within 24 hours, after we have checked and verified your documents.


Is it possible to buy your fabrics as a non-commercial client, means for my private use?

Yes you can.


I am still in the process of setting up my business, but can I still subscribe to your online shop?

In order to purchase our products at wholesale prices you need to have your business established. Until you receive the relevent business documentation you can order our fabrics with a regular account.


Order process


Do you sell your fabrics exclusively online?

Once a week on we open our office doors in Berlin Kreuzberg for a small warehouse sale. Everybody is welcome to visit us 2 x a week to our stock sale in Berlin, that is Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am till 1pm and 2pm till 5pm to check out what our fabric shelves have to offer. Beside fabrics from our regular portfolio you will find some special offers and sometimes also one or the other treasure which is not available in our online store.


Click and collect: Can I order online and pick up at your office?

We do not stock all of our products in our Berlin office. Therfore we do not offer a click and collect system yet. But if you like, you are welcome to visit our office to our open stock sale (Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.) and check out what we have here:

What are the minimum order quantities?

Our Minimum order quantity is 1,00 meter. We offer special pricing conditions from 5 meters onward..


Which payment options do you offer?

We offer the following payment options: Advance payment, invoice, direct debit, paypal.  Simply check which payment option is the best for you. The delivery costs are partly depending on the payment option you chose.You can find further information here: Payment


How much do you charge for shipping?

You find an overview for shipping costs here.


Do you also ship outside of Germany?

Yes, shipping within all European countries is no problem. For shipping inquiries outside of Europe or overseas please get in touch with us personally so we can calculate your shipping costs individually.


How long is the delivery time?

If your desired fabric is in stock, the average time to manage and ship your order takes between 3 to 5 days. A delivery within the EU takes between 7 to 10 working days before you will receive your order.


Is it possible to order samples?

You can easily order samples online: After logging into your account simply choose your article and click on the button „Order Sample“. The size of sample swatches is 10 cm x 10 cm.  This way you create your own sample selection. If you would like to receive bigger swatches, only add a comment into the according space with the requested size. 


Is there a sample portfolio that shows your complete fabric range?

Since our product line is very dynamic, we no longer offer swatch books. The ordering of individual samples is done easily in our online shop. After logging into your account simply choose your article and click on the button „Order Sample“. We send you colour and quality swatches in the size 10 x 10 cm. Like that you can also create your own selection of samples


I cannot see the prices for all Linen fabrics, Leather and Merchandise. Why?

These four product categories are exclusively available for wholesale clients.

What are the minimum order quantities for merchandise?

Our merchandise products are mostly available from 10 pieces onward (some products have smaller MOQ, it is mentioned on the price list). The minimums have to be in one style and in one color but can be divided into different sizes. Similar to our fabrics a scale price system is also used for the merchandise products. You can order 10, 50 or 100 merchandise products (the prices are staggered by 10, 50, 100 pieces, if not mentioned differently in the price list).


Is it possible to order single merchandise samples?

If you are interested in ordering samples, please send us an email to with your ideas and the desired products (article code, a specific description, as well as color and size). We will contact you to clarify the details of your order.


Where do I find your merchandise product prices?

All prices, order conditions and other important order details such as delivery time, availability and order minimum you can find online. Simply create a customer account and get started!


How long is the delivery time of unprinted merchandise items?

The approximated time to manage and ship your order is 5-8 working days, provided that the article is on stock.


Do you offer finishes like print or embroidery?

Yes, we offer silkscreen printing as well as digital printing, and also embroidery. All processes are GOTS certified. The minimum order quantity is 50 prints/ embroidery. Print and embroidery prices depend very much on the amount of the pictures, the pictures sizes and the amount of colors. We will gladly make an individual offer for you. Just send us an email with the details and a short description of your idea:



Is it possible to drop by at your office and shop for fabrics?

If you would like to meet us personally and take your time to browse through our fabric portfolio, we are happy to welcome you in our showroom. Please contact us for appointments.

If you are interested in purchasing fabrics directly in our office in Berlin, you are also welcome every Wednesday for our stock sale. However - given that we only have a small stock of fabrics in our office -direct purchasing remains an exception.

Certification & sustainability


Organic? How sustainable are Lebenskleidung products?

Organic for us means transparency, trust and clarity. We are puttting highest emphasize on ecological and social criteria. Therefore we are working with strong partners which are all certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Nearly all of our products are GOTS certified, exceptions are only some products from the categories linen and and leather which are nevertheless produced according to the highest social and ecological standards.

Our Merchandise products are GOTS and Fairtrade certified.


Am I allowed to use the GOTS Label for my products?

The use of the GOTS label requires your company to be certified by an independent certifying agency. All answers to questions about the right usage of the GOTS logo can be found here:
